Founder's Note
I feel the cold easily. I start reaching for these at around 12–13°C; below 10°C, I almost always want them underneath.
What makes them useful is how little they ask you to change. You can still wear your usual trousers or a favourite long skirt, with a soft layer of Golden Cashmere next to your skin.
For Erica’s Edition, I chose a longer length to bring that warmth closer to the ankle.

The material, first
Golden Cashmere
A particular fibre. A very personal choice.
Fukaki sources Golden Cashmere from goats in Shandong, China, known locally as Taishan Hong. Beneath their reddish-gold outer hair is a pale beige undercoat.
The maker describes the undercoat’s average fibre diameter as being in the 14-micron range, with little variation in fineness. These are the maker’s raw-fibre specifications, not a test result for this finished pair.
For me, the surprise is how much warmth I feel from something so light. That is why I chose Golden Cashmere for a layer worn next to the skin. — Erica
A warm layer. The trousers I already wear.
Here, I’m wearing Golden Cashmere beneath my usual cotton trousers. They still feel comfortable around the waist and hips, and the leg line falls just as I like it. A little extra warmth, without having to choose a different pair of trousers.

Soft around the waist. Room to move.
The elasticated waistband sits over the abdomen, while the flexible rib knit moves with you as you sit, bend and stretch.
Seamless knit construction keeps bulky joins to a minimum. A close-fitting layer designed to feel comfortable through an ordinary day.
A little support. A barely-there feel.
Inside the high rib-knit waistband, Erica’s Edition has a fine, soft elastic band. It adds a little gentle support to help the waistband stay comfortably in place during everyday movement, long days and travel. The intention is a more secure feel, rather than a tight hold.
The layer I take somewhere cold.
On this snowy mountain trip, I wore Golden Cashmere beneath my outer trousers. It is the kind of layer I like to take away with me: light to pack, and useful once the temperature drops.
This is my own wearing experience, rather than a temperature rating. What feels warm enough also depends on your outer layers, the weather and how much you are moving.
A small addition to your travel bag.
For a winter trip, an extra layer underneath can make more of the clothes you already own useful.
Folded into one hand, these Golden Cashmere leggings are easy to tuck into a bag. A useful extra layer without packing another bulky pair of trousers.

The warm natural shade is left undyed. Slight variations in tone are part of the fibre’s character.

Caring for your Golden Cashmere
Gently hand wash in cold water with a detergent suitable for delicate wool fibres. Do not rub or wring. Press out excess water with a towel, reshape and dry flat. Do not tumble dry.
